COVID-19
Business Evolution
A couple of months into the COVID-19 pandemic here in America, I remember telling a group of ex-coworkers from my previous employer that this ongoing event and its economic and social knock on effects would be the “Biggest Thing” to happen in our lifetime. They all scoffed incredulous disbelief at the statement. I often think back to that conversation a couple of months later as the continuing COVID-19 pandemic here in America is starting a second round of business and social shutdowns and wonder how some cannot see this game changing global event for what it is?
It is a failure of imagination I believe. A failure of people to adapt, evolve and change to the new paradigm. The same can be said about organizations doing business in this new COVID world. Most businesses are hunkering down and waiting for the pandemic to be over so they can go back to doing business as the way things were. Doing business, the way that made them successful. The problem with the “Hunker Down” concept is that the world is changing and will have changed immensely when the COVID-19 pandemic is over. The way we work and do business will have changed. The way consumers consume and what they consume will have changed. Global businesses and their supply chains will have changed. Global trade and global politics will have changed. Great social and economic systems will have changed.
Companies that can recognize this historic global event for what it is are trying to figure out what the lay of the land will be when the pandemic is over. Those companies know things will have changed and are trying to get in front of the change. JUSDA America is one of those companies. Our lean, nimble business infrastructure is adapting to the “New Normal” and assisting our customers navigate the new supply chain, regulatory and manufacturing logistics changes brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our suite of technology tools are geared for customer data integration customizations and helps organizations lean out and maximize their supply chains efficiencies.
Businesses that can recognize the seriousness of today's events and can evolve and change with these challenging times will be the businesses left doing business in a post COVID-19 world. Lean, nimble and imaginative will be the businesses that will survive and thrive when these challenging times are over.
